We all experience bouts anixiety in our lives. Many different things can bring about the onset of anxiety. Everyone’s situation, and anxiety, is individual.

Sometimes anxiety can be a good thing. Anxiety is our natural response to danger. Anxiety awakens our senses, keeping us alert, and ready to address unexpected situations. Some of the physical symptoms of anxiety make everyday living a challenge. These things make anxiety a negative experience. Instead of making progress, we find ourselves backpedaling, when it comes to anxiety. 

Can you name the symptoms of anxiety? Many different things contribute to the onset of anxiety. Anxiety can feel like our fight or flight response has taken hold. The physical symptoms of anxiety include the following:

Increased cardiac activity. Not to be confused with a heart attack itself. Sweating profusely, even though the temperature of the skin is very cool. Stained clothing, beneath the armpits, can be one of the most embarrassing situations.S

Many people also experience an uneasy, or upset stomach. Indigestion from increased levels of gastric acid, can be caused by anxiety.

Anxiety can also be characterized by frequent urination, or even diarrhea.

Hypoxia (shortness of breath) is also associated with anxiety. Hypoxia is one of the most common physical symptoms of anxiety.

You may also experience tremors, or twitches, during an bout of anxiety. Our body is geared up for a battle, whatever it may be.  As a result, muscle rigidity is also symptom.

Brain fog, or confusion, can also be a symptom of anxiety.

Anxiety can also be responsible for the onset of fatigue. You may feel weak, and sluggish.

Some people experience insomnia, as anxiety has the brain working overtime.

These represent the most common physical symptoms of anxiety. Don’t allow anxiety to beat you, there are ways to effectively deal with it. My wish for you would be that this information assists  you in a meaningful way; identifying the most common anxiety symptoms, and giving you confidence when facing them. Try and remember that anxiety was not designed to be counterproductive to our comfort levels, and health, but rather a response to impending danger. Do not define your anxiety as a disease, physical, or psychological imbalance, as it, in fact, a natural reaction, that can be regulated.
